Hire the best barbers in Jaipur

The barber service has seen a resurgence in activity since 2010 with the return of beards for men. The barber or barber-hairdresser is increasingly called upon to take care of men's beauty. If initially the activity consisted of the maintenance and care of the beard and moustache, it has evolved to turn towards aesthetics by integrating hair cutting, colouring, facial care as well as depilation.

Training and education to become a barber

To work as a barber, the minimum requirement is a CAP (vocational training certificate) in hairdressing, as all the basics of the trade are derived from hairdressing. This is prepared in two years after the third year in a vocational school or CFA (apprentice training centre) or in one year if you already have a level V diploma such as a CAP or BEP, or better still a BAC which is a level IV diploma. You can then specialise by following a barber's course and doing internships with master barbers in order to master all the techniques. If you wish to open a barbershop, you will need at least a professional certificate (BP) in hairdressing.

The field of intervention of a barber

Trained in hairdressing, the barber, also known as a barber, takes care of men's beauty on a daily basis. He is thus at the disposal of these gentlemen to shave, trim and maintain their beard or moustache, to give them a haircut in order to obtain the perfect harmony between hair and beard, to pluck their eyebrows and nose hairs, to give them extensions, colouring and brushings, both of their beard and their hair. Cabbage cutters, scissors, clippers, combs, shaving brushes, beard soap, razors... He masters various tools with precision and skill. This craftsman also advises his clients on the products to use for the daily maintenance of their beard and moustache, and their hair. In the aesthetic care offered by the barber, scrubs, modelling and massages are part of the package to offer a better well-being to the male gender.

Why use a barber?

We call on a barber to take care of our face, beard, moustache and hair. He can improve our aesthetics as well as our well-being by shaving, removing nose hair, shaping our face and removing blackheads that have become deeply embedded...

How to find a barber?

To find a barber, you can use an online directory such as StarOfService. You just have to follow the indications on the screen to come face to face with many barbers in your region or in your city. All that remains is to select one and make an appointment with him, either in his salon or at home.

Barber's fees

Usually working in a men's barber shop or in a barbershop, barbers charge varying rates depending on the services they provide. For a traditional shave with a cabbage cutter, the minimum charge is €30, while for a moustache trim it starts at €5, €10 for a beard trim and €15 if it is a much more elaborate trim. For a full shave, including cleaning, scrubbing and skin modelling, you should expect to pay between €25 and €35.

How to choose a barber?

To choose a barber, you can trust your friends and family to guide you. Otherwise, there are online reviews, either on social networks or directly on search engines. By reading reviews and looking at different barber websites, you can then make up your own mind. Experience and qualification are the most important criteria.

Questions to ask a barber on first contact

- How many years of experience do you have? - What training have you received? - Do you offer packages? - Can you advise me on regular beard maintenance?
