I believe that empowerment comes via responsibility and that is exactly the kind of approach I take in counseling and therapy. Every client has a different need and so it is very important to establish understanding and authenticity in the counseling relationship. It is also very important we understand that, Psychology is not just the study of pathology and weakness but also Strength and virtue. I have studied CBT , Mindfulness and counseling. Having studied these different approaches help me design the sessions as per the clients needs. I want to help people live authentic lives by understanding them, providing unconditional acceptance and positive regard, empathy and a space where they can be themselves and in turn also become a better version of themselves by getting rid of unhelpful thinking patterns and beliefs. Lastly I would like to quote Gerard Egan in order for you to understand my approach, “ Treatment is not fixing what is broken, it is nurturing what is best.“
