We have worked diligently to ensure the safety of everyone that comes into our practice. While many things have changed, one thing remains the same: Our commitment to your safety and comfort.
Our office has always followed infection control recommendations made by the Indian Dental Association (IDA),
Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) Standardization, India. We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings and guidelines that might be issued as the current Covid-19 situation evolves. For your protection, procedures at the office will be a little different than they have been in the past.
Our office procedures to keep you safe:
Soft schedule: Due to the temporary guidelines for all dental offices, we will be spacing patients to minimize the number of people in the office. We will also only be performing certain procedures at this time.
Wearing special masks: All our clinical assistants will be wearing face-shields and our front desk staff will be wearing masks. At the reception desk sneeze guards have been put in place.
Sanitizing: One of our team members will be consistently sanitizing all high touched surfaces. Magazines and video games will not be available as they are difficult to clean. Be assured that we are taking every precaution to provide a safe environment for our patients and our team!
Screening: Each staff member will be screened and temperature will be taken at the start of the work day
For your protection the following guidelines have been established:
We will call you to schedule your appointment. Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. This might mean that you are offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment.
On the day of your appointment, give us a call once you arrive at the office. We will invite you in or have you wait in your car until your clinician becomes available.
Only patients may enter the office. In order to minimize the number of people in the office and follow social distancing recommendations, we ask that only the patient come into the office for the appointment (one parent with younger children). ALL PEOPLE ENTERING THE OFFICE WILL BE REQUIRED TO WEAR A FACEMASK.
Once in the office we will be screening patients for any flu-like symptoms and taking their temperature before entering the treatment area. If your temperature is over 100 degrees, or if you have a persistent cough or difficulty breathing, you will be asked to reschedule your appointment.
Sanitizing procedures: All people entering the office will be asked to use hand sanitizer that is provided. The patient will then be asked to wash their hands for 20 seconds and use a special mouth-rinse for 30 seconds before sitting in the treatment chair. Please thoroughly brush your teeth BEFORE coming to the office as tooth brushes will not be readily available until the Covid-19 recommendations are lifted.
After completion of the treatment, we again ask that all patient wear masks and use hand sanitizer as they schedule their next visit and leave the office. If you prefer, you may call the office the schedule your next appointment to reduce your time inside.
We realize that this may seem like a lot to do, but your health and the health of our community is paramount! We promise we will try to make the experience as quick and pleasant as possible.
